The new variant joins Savage Short Action, Tikka T3 Short Action, Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard Short Action, Remington Model 783 Short Action and Remington 700 Short Action.
The XRS Chassis features a full-length CNC-machined core of aircraft-grade aluminum. Textured polymer panels insulate from the elements. A precision bedding system ensures fit and function. The system helps maximize the accuracy of any rifle action, according to MDT. The XRS also features a replaceable over-molded and textured grip system. It includes both an angled and vertical grip choice.

The XRS Chassis System upgrades performance, weighing around 3.9 pounds. It accommodates both hunting and target rifles. It features an adjustable length of pul via spacers. A quick-adjust cheek pice varies for scope height overbore. It accepts standard AICS pattern magazines. The generous 12.12-inch long forend comes with M-LOK slots for accessory mounting.
