SIG Sauer issued a safety recall notice on its popular Cross bolt-action rifle Wednesday. It advises consumers to immediately discontinue rifle use on all Cross rifles.
SIG Cross Safety Recall
SIG personnel viewed a video presenting a single Cross rifle with a potential safety concern, according to a SIG Sauer release. The rifle then underwent inspection by SIG officials. It exhibited a delayed discharge after pulling the trigger. So SIG immediately issued the recall to implement modification to the rifle’s firing action.
Rifle owners should register at sigsauer.com/crossrecall or call 603-610-3000, option 1. SIG will then communicate further to arrange returning the rifle. SIG will cover all shipment and replacement costs.

The SIG Cross comes in several variants, including .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor and 277 Fury. The SIG Cross launched last year to much fanfare, marking a new product segment for a company clearly on the move. It appears the company wasted little time addressing what could be a serious issue left unresolved. For even more information, please visit sigsauer.com.
