Brownells, S&W Donate M2.0 Compact ‘Dream Gun’ to Benefit Vets

Hurricane Harvey might have largely disappeared from the headlines, but the effects of it are still being felt down in Houston, Texas and other areas. To help with the relief efforts, the Lone Survivor Foundation is raffling off a customized 9mm M&P M2.0 Compact “Dream Gun” developed by Brownells in conjunction with Smith & Wesson.

The proceeds from the Dream Gun—valued at $850 retail—will benefit the Lone Survivor Foundation Disaster Relief Fund and be used to help military veterans adversely affected by the hurricane, which made landfall on August 25, killing dozens and causing nearly $200 billion in damage.

“We are grateful for this chance to partner with Smith & Wesson to help support our veterans,” Brownells CEO Pete Brownell said in a press release. “Somebody is going to win a very sharp-looking, custom M&P M2.0 Compact.”

There’s no doubt that this Dream Gun is an eye-catcher. Emblazoned with the iconic colors of the Texas state flag, the gun sports a custom Cerakote finish courtesy of Battle Arms Development. Smith & Wesson released the M&P M2.0 Compact in September 2017. It’s essentially a compact, carry-friendly version of the full-size M2.0 pistol.

The Lone Survivor Foundation is an organization that helps wounded service members and their families through health, wellness and therapeutic support. To that end, LSF hosts retreats for service members with post traumatic stress, mild traumatic brain injury, chronic pain and military sexual trauma.

The raffle began on Veterans Day and runs through Dec. 11, with the winning ticket being drawn at 12:05 p.m. Tickets are $20 each. As of this writing, the campaign has raised $660 of the $10,000 goal.
