The 16-inch-barreled SOCOM version has become extremely popular because it’s lighter, shorter and handy. Its scout-type rail accommodates red-dot sights, making it perfect for close quarters. Until now, however, the SOCOM 16 was only available with a standard rifle stock.

Designed to facilitate the use of accessories, the M1A SOCOM 16 CQB’s forend provides M-LOK-compatible slots for mounting lights, lasers, a bipod or other accessories. The generous mag well makes it easy to reload quickly. With a more vertical pistol grip and collapsible stock, it makes CQB work much more comfortable. QD sling cups are also available for attaching a sling. The rifle is even available with a Vortex Venom reflex sight using a clip slot mount that co-witnesses with the front and rear iron sights.
