Rounding up the Revolvers: 20 Wheelguns from SHOT Show 2025

The popularity of revolvers is more than evident this year. Double action revolvers, the concealment type with “snub” barrels, are popular for self-defense, while those with longer barrels excel in the field and competition. Single-action revolvers are favorites of hunters and cowboy action shooters. So, let’s take a look at the revolvers I saw at the 2025 SHOT Show.

20 Revolvers from SHOT Show 2025

1Charter Arms Chic 8-Shooter

Charter Arms Chic 8-Shooter.

A unique revolver I saw at SHOT Show 2025 was in Charter’s Chic Line. It’s built on their small, concealed hammer aluminum frame, has a 2-inch barrel, and compact black rubber grips. The surprise is that it’s a .22 Magnum (WMR).

This version has a pink anodized frame, the barrel and fluted cylinder are polished stainless steel, and it has a fiber-optic front sight with a fixed notch rear sight. Here is a lightweight option with some significant firepower for folks who are recoil-sensitive. There is also a clear-coat frame version for those who don’t like pink.

MSRP: $400.00

Charter Arms’ latest offering is in the Double Dog series. It’s a combination of the Mag Pug and Pit Bull, delivering a 5-shot wheelgun in .357 Magnum or 9mm Luger. The 9mm cylinder uses Charter’s patented extraction system with “no moon clip technology.”

Made of stainless steel with a matte finish, it has a 4.2-inch ported barrel with a full-length lug, a ramp front sight, and a fully adjustable rear sight. It comes with oversized “Backpacker” walnut stocks. There’s also a fixed-sight snubby version with a Black Passivate finish.

3Cimarron Lightning .32-20/.32 H&R Dual Cylinder Sixgun

Cimarron Lightning .32-20/.32 H&R Dual Cylinder Sixgun.

The .32 caliber handgun cartridge is coming back. Several new revolvers have been introduced recently that chamber cartridges like the .32 H&R Magnum or the .327 Federal Magnum. A favorite of mine is the .32 WCF (Winchester Centerfire) or .32-20 cartridge—the .327 Magnum of its era.

Cimarron Firearms imports its Lightning Model SA revolver in .32-20 with an accessory cylinder in .32 H&R. It’s ¾ size of the SAA platform and has the birds-head grip frame of the Colt Model 1877. The version here has a 4.75-inch barrel. Barrels, cylinders, and grip frames are polished blue, while the frame is color case-hardened. One-piece walnut stocks with a gold Cimarron emblem come standard.

MSRP: $771.94 (as shown)

For more information, please visit Cimarron-Firearms.com.

4Colt Viper .357 Magnum

SHOT Show Revolvers: Colt Viper .357 Magnum.

One of Colt’s more recent DA revolvers is the Viper. Built on the Cobra frame, it’s chambered in .357 Magnum/.38 Spl. +P, with a 6-cartridge capacity cylinder. In addition, it has a heavy half-lug barrel.

The 3-inch barrel version is shown here, but there’s also a 4.25-inch barrel model. Made of forged stainless steel, the barrel has a recessed target crown, black ramp front sight, and open notch rear sight. The stocks are checkered American walnut, and the net weight is 26.90 oz.

MSRP: $999.00

For more information, please visit Colt.com.

5Diamondback Arms SDR – Black

Diamondback Arms SDR – Black.

The Diamondback SDR originally debuted at SHOT 2024. It’s a 2-inch barrel, .357 Magnum, DA sixgun, made of stainless steel with a high polish, plus Hogue black rubber grips. IMHO, the double-action trigger pull is amazing.

For 2025 the stainless SDR is being offered with a non-reflective Black Nitride + finish. It has a push-button cylinder release latch, and the cylinder is uniquely fluted. There are also fixed, fiber-optic front and rear sights. The new model has these features, but now with a more subdued finish, and the same Hogue grips.

MSRP: $821.00

For more information, please visit DiamondbackFirearms.com.

6Diamondback Arms SDR in 9mm & 3” .357 Magnum

SHOT Show Revolvers: Diamondback Arms SDR in 9mm & 3” .357 Magnum.

For SHOT 2025, the SDR is now available in 9mm Luger (9×19 Parabellum). It will be a polished stainless-steel version with a 2-inch barrel and uses TK Custom moon clips (3 included).

The 3-inch .357 Magnum will basically have all the same features enumerated above for the Black Nitride version. The longer barrel model has been added to the line due to popular demand.

MSRP: $821.00 (9mm), $837.00 (.357 Magnum)

7EAA Windicator Revolver

EAA Windicator Revolver.

Often overlooked, this DA wheelgun is made by Weihrauch in Germany and imported by EAA. It has a mid-size solid steel frame, a six-shot capacity in .357 Magnum/.38 Special, a heavy barrel with a top rib, ejector rod shroud, and ramp front sight.

The grip-frame/trigger guard assembly is aluminum alloy, and the grips are molded rubber with finger grooves and checkered side panels. The rear sight is a raised fixed notch. Finishes are blue or satin nickel, and the 2- and 4-inch barrel lengths have just been joined by a 6-inch option (Shown).

MSRP: $484.00

8Henry Repeating Arms Golden Boy Revolver

SHOT Show Revolvers: Henry Repeating Arms Golden Boy Revolver.

I was surprised a couple of years ago when Henry introduced the Big Boy .357 Magnum, DA sixgun. It had a retro look, with the polished blue barrel, cylinder and frame, polished brass grip-frame, and smooth walnut stocks. It came with a 4-inch barrel and a choice of square butt or birdshead grip-frames.

Announced in 2024—but just now getting into production—is the Golden Boy .22 rimfire revolver. It looks identical to the Big Boy, but the Golden Boy’s cylinder has 10 chambers. The barrel is marked “CAL .22 S/L/LR” and has a quick-removeable cylinder. There’s a fixed-notch rear sight, and the ramp front sight comes with three interchangeable blades for elevation adjustment.

MSRP: $928.00

9Heritage Manufacturing Roscoe

Heritage Manufacturing Roscoe.

Heritage also had a surprise coming out with a small-frame .38 Special DA five-shooter. It’s modeled after an early Chief’s Special and has a 2-inch barrel. However, the one shown here has a 3-inch barrel, offering a longer sight radius and a boost in velocity.

The mid-weight barrel has an integral rib, serrated ramp front sight, and a faux lug that offers protection to the ejector rod. Its carbon steel frame and alloy steel barrel and cylinder have a polished blue finish. Likewise, the reddish, laminated wood grips are checkered and have a diamond insert.

MSRP: $363.99

10Kimber K6XS Lightweight Six-Shooter

SHOT Show Revolvers: Kimber K6XS Lightweight Six-Shooter.

The Kimber K6XS is one versatile .38 Special “snubby.” It’s rated for +P ammo, has an aluminum alloy frame (empty weight 15.9 oz.), a 6-shot cylinder, push-button cylinder release, and Hogue black rubber grips. A concealed hammer makes it DAO, but the trigger pull is amazing.

The stainless-steel barrel and cylinder have a bead-blasted finish, while the frame has a silver KimPro II finish. Its 2.0-inch barrel has an ejector rod shroud that’s slotted to reduce weight. Additionally, the cylinder flutes are deep-cut to shave ounces. The front blade sight and fixed notch rear sight have orange dots.

MSRP: $679.00

11North American Arms Sentinel

North American Arms Sentinel.

The NAA Sentinel is a hybrid of the swing-out cylinder Sidewinder, with the ejector rod and barrel of the Pug. I find it’s easier to unlock and swing the cylinder out to the right. Made of 17-4 stainless steel, it holds up in all kinds of environments and has pebble-grain black rubber grips.

It has a 1.425-inch barrel and weighs only 6.8 oz. empty. The cylinder holds five .22 Magnum cartridges, and it comes with an XS dot front sight (Tritium optional) and dovetail fixed-notch rear sight.

MSRP: $399.00

12 – Pietta/Davidsons Clemintine Convertible Revolver

SHOT Show Revolvers: Pietta/Davidsons Clemintine Convertible Revolver.

Based on their Great Western II SAA frame, it’s a real “Darlin!” It has two ten-shot cylinders in economical .22LR and powerful .22 Magnum. Barrel options are 4.75 and 5.5 inches, which are polished blue steel, as are the fluted cylinders.

The frame is color case-hardened and the grip-frame/trigger guard assembly is polished brass, with walnut stocks. It has a fixed-notch rear sight and blade front sight. The Clemintine here has the 4.75-inch barrel.

MSRP: $550.00

13 – ROSSI RP63IF

ROSSI RP63IF.

This six-shot .357 Magnum DA revolver, introduced in 2023, now has two new finish choices. The first is Tungsten (shown), and this finish is applied to the frame and barrel. However, the cylinder, hammer, trigger, thumb latch, and ejector rod are black. There’s also a Sniper Green finish.

Additionally, they have new LOK black rubber grips with an enhanced texturing pattern. You still have features like the 3-inch full-lug barrel, removable serrated blade front sight, and hammer-mounted firing pin.

15 – Smith & Wesson Classic No-Lock Revolvers

Smith & Wesson Classic No-Lock Revolvers.

S&W has taken three of their Classic wheelguns and removed the internal lock/frame key-hole.

The first is the ubiquitous Model 10, the original M&P (Military & Police). A six-shot .38 Special, it has a blue finish, 4-inch lightweight tapered barrel with integral “hump” front sight, an old-style mushroom-head ejector rod, and square-butt, smooth high-grade walnut stocks.

Second is the Model 19 Combat Magnum, “The Peace Officers Dream.” A six-shot .357 Magnum, it has a 4.25-inch heavy, half-lug barrel, red ramp front sight, adjustable rear sight, combat trigger, and target-style, checkered walnut stocks.

Third is a retro Model 36 Chief’s Special, a blue steel, small-frame, 5-shot, .38 Special with a 1.88-inch thin barrel and integral “hump” front sight, plus round-butt, checkered walnut Magna stocks.

Both are polished stainless steel DA revolvers with 4.13-inch tapered barrels and brass bead partridge front sights. They include adjustable rear sights, beveled cylinder front edge, and chamfered charge holes. Finally, Tyler Gun Works provides the Bear Hug walnut stocks.

They’re also “No Locks.” I have a Model 686-Plus Mountain Gun from 1995, and look forward to comparing them.

Smith & Wesson/Lipsey’s Titanium Cylinder UC Revolvers.

Last year, these J-frame Models 432 (Black) and 632 (Stainless) Ultimate Carry DAO revolvers debuted in .32 H&R Magnum. For 2025, they’re offered with Titanium cylinders, dropping the empty weight to 16.6 oz.

Both feature 1.88-inch full-shroud barrels, dovetailed U-notch rear sight, pinned green XS tritium front sight, beveled cylinder front edge, chamfered charge holes, upgraded endurance package, and black rubber grips. Both are also “No Lock.”

It features LPA fiber optic (red) front and rear (adj.-green) sights and a wire-eroded trigger system that provides a smooth and lightweight trigger pull. It also has a match cylinder release, adjustable trigger stop, and Nill walnut combat stocks.

19 – Taurus 327 Defender T.O.R.O.

Taurus 327 Defender T.O.R.O.

More evidence of a .32 caliber revolver revival is the 327 Defender T.O.R.O. It was named 2025 Handgun of the Year by the NRA Golden Bullseye Awards. It’s a six-shooter in .327 Federal Magnum (+ .32 H&R/.32 Long) built on the small 856 frame. It has a 2- or 3-inch barrel and is one of the first optic-ready revolvers.

The rear sight is a fixed notch, and the front sight has a tritium insert with an orange outline. It comes in stainless steel or carbon steel with a matte black finish. Grips are rubber with finger grooves and pebble-grain texturing. It has a bobbed hammer spur and is DAO. The 3-inch black version pictured has an MRDS attached.

MSRP: $553.99

For more information, please visit TaurusUSA.com.

20 – Taurus 650 DAO

SHOT Show Revolvers: Taurus 650 DAO.

I was pleased to see Taurus re-introduce the 650 revolver, which has a snag-free concealed hammer. There are four versions. The one shown is the matte-finished, stainless-steel model with a 2-inch barrel and shrouded ejector rod. Its cylinder holds five rounds of .357 Magnum or .38 Spl.

The rear sight is a fixed notch, while the front sight is a serrated ramp held on by a pin, making it easily replaceable. Recoil-absorbing, checkered black rubber grips that cover the frame backstrap are standard. In a pocket holster, sleek wheelguns like the 650 are less likely to “print,” and they allow a trouble-free draw.

MSRP: $469.99
