It seems like SHOT Show was full of new 1911 and 2011 pistols. Not to mention lever action rifles everywhere you looked. The market for single-stack and double-stack 1911s has expanded with smaller, concealable models, more competition-focused models, and more optics-ready guns. The demand has never been higher, and companies are increasingly listening to consumer needs. Here’s a round-up of 1911s and 2011s seen at SHOT Show 2025.
20 Top 1911 and 2011 Pistols from SHOT Show
1 – Nighthawk Double Agent

I didn’t get to shoot this gun at SHOT Show. However, I did get to put my hands on it and dry-fire it at their booth. Nighthawk absolutely knocked it out of the park with this pistol. It is commander-sized and has a shorter, thinner aluminum grip, making it super concealable and preventing printing.
The barrel is 4.25 inches long and has an eight-facet hex key muzzle with a full crown. The texturing on the pistol is flawless in design and isn’t overly aggressive to carry against your skin/body. It has a capacity of 16 rounds of 9mm. As always, Nighthawk pistols are built by one gunsmith from start to finish.
MSRP: $5,899.00.

2 – Nighthawk Single Stack Sand Hawk

If you’ve ever shot the double-stack Sand Hawk, you know how soft it shoots, thanks to the compensator. Nighthawk introduced the single-stack Sand Hawk this year at SHOT Show 2025, chambered in 9mm, 10mm, and .45 ACP.
The company built this pistol on a steel frame instead of the aluminum on which the double-stack gun is built. It has a Government frame, a 5-inch barrel, custom Railscales grips, and a custom trigger job.
MSRP: $5,199.00.

3 – OA Defense Pro and Pro Elite

The OA Defense 2311 was a new design to hit the market last year. With customer feedback and demand, the company launched two new designs at SHOT Show 2025. The new Pro model is a full-size gun with a cut and contoured slide. It features a ported 5-inch barrel and an enhanced trigger, which I shot at Range Day. Oh My Gosh, it’s AMAZING! OA also upgraded the magazine release to an extended paddle.
The Pro Elite model is a full metal pistol CNC-machined from 7075 aluminum. This grip module was a direct result of working with professional competitive shooters and combat veterans who know what the people want. How do I know that? Because I know the pro shooters and veterans who helped design this grip.
MSRP: Starts at $2,599.00 (Pro), starts at $3,149.00 (Pro Elite).

9 – Springfield Armory Prodigy 3.5

The latest double stack 1911 from Springfield Armory is the 3.5-inch Prodigy pistol. If you’re familiar with the 4.25-inch and 5-inch pistols, not a ton has changed in terms of design. However, the capacity did shrink to 15 rounds in the compact frame.
The 3.5-inch barrel gun has a shortened beavertail and recontoured hammer to reduce the overall footprint and make it even easier to conceal.
MSRP: Starts at $1,549.00.

10 – Staccato HD P4 and P4.5

The Staccato HD P4 was a big hit at SHOT Show this year. The new HD line got a complete ergonomics overhaul and is designed around Glock pattern magazines.
Another significant change is the rear sight is now in front of the optics plate, directly behind the ejection port. This new optics mounting system lets you co-witness the iron sights with your red dot optic mounted in the rear. The 4.0-inch bull barrel pistol is available now, with the 4.5-inch coming soon.
MSRP: Starts at $2,499.00.

11 – Vulcan Machine Werks 3L3V3N

Seeing this gun in person was impressive as it is designed unlike any double-stack 1911 or 2011 I have seen. This government model pistol has a 5-inch barrel, full-length dust cover, and rail. Vulcan Machine Werks has a patent pending on their minimalist design and Ignis Porting System (an optional upgrade).
The biggest game changer for double stack 1911 lovers is the ability to directly mount your red dot optic with a mill optic cut machined by them, so you’re ready to go. This gun has many features, including a tool-less guide rod system, laser engraved angled serrations, the Vulcan square mag well, and more.
MSRP: $5,250.00.

12 – Jacob Grey TWC HEX

The latest from Jacob Grey is the TWC HEX handgun with a 4.25-inch barrel chambered in 9mm. Ports in the barrel and slide have been added to reduce muzzle rise. This pistol is also outfitted with a patent-pending, one-piece aluminum single-stage 3.5-pound trigger.

13 – Bul Armory Tac Comp

As the 1911 and 2011 market heats up, I’ve seen more manufacturers add ports to their barrels and compensators to their pistols. Bul Armory’s new Tac Comp pistol is a Hybrid V6 ported one-piece machined compensator barrel. It’s built on a stainless-steel grip, is chambered in 9mm, uses the BAO multi-footprint optic system, and the trigger can be set up to 3.2 pounds. It has a capacity of 20 rounds.
NOTE: New for 2025, the TAC line of models (TAC, TAC Pro, and TAC COMP in the future) are available in a stainless-steel finish—no price difference.
MSRP: $2,850.00.

14 – PSA Sabre-11

I’ll preface this new gun by sharing that it is a concept pistol. So, the final product might look different than what you see here. The Sabre-11 will have a 5-inch bull barrel chambered in 9mm with the option of adding a compensator. There will be a front-interchangeable trigger shoe (F.I.T.S. trigger), an optics-ready slide, and an external extractor.
For those who don’t often shoot 1911s or 2011s, the extractor is a wear-and-tear part and usually requires “tuning” to get the gun to run with certain types of ammunition. PSA promises a steel frame with a Picatinny rail and 17 or 20 rounds of capacity.
MSRP: TBD.

15 – Bul Armory Compact EDC and EDC Pro

Bul Armory released a new variant of the EDC but outfitted it with a short grip and full-size length slide. Both barrel lengths are 4.25 inches, but the EDC Pro version has V8 porting while the EDC does not.
This pistol uses the BAO multi-footprint system to be compatible with various optics. Correspondingly, it has a black serrated rear sight and fiber optic front sight (black front in the Pro model). It has a capacity of 16 rounds.
MSRP: $1,850.00 (EDC), $2,050.00 (EDC Pro).

Both pistols utilize steel 3-dot sights and are optic-ready for the Trijicon RMR, RMSc, and Holosun K. The Axe pistols have an integrated flared mag well with side cuts, a reversible magazine release, an extended slide lock lever, and an ambidextrous integrated thumb rest.

The new MAC 9 double-stack comp pistol is an affordable, flat-shooting, 1911-style pistol. It is optics-ready with the AOS optic cut so that you can mount a variety of optics to the gun. If you prefer iron sights, the front sight is a suppressor-height fiber optic sight with black rear sights.
Front slide serrations make it optimal to manipulate the slide. Other features include a skeletonized hammer, an extended slide lock lever, an oversized magazine release, and multiple options for trigger shoes.
MSRP: $1,079.00.

18 – Tisas USA Duty 45 Raider

Tisas is coming out with a 45 ACP caliber 1911 with a lot of modern features and design elements. There’s a Picatinny rail for mounting a light, a Novak front sight, and a Glock dovetail rear sight. It is optics-ready with the Holosun 507k or RMSc footprint. Depending on the red dot, the iron sights will co-witness.
MSRP: $749.99.

19 – Colt Optics-Ready 1911

I never thought I’d see the day Colt would make an optics-ready 1911. This pistol is available in both 9mm and .45 ACP. They use Colt’s versatile optics plate system to mount different footprint optics. As a race-built 1911, this gun is perfect for competitive shooters who are tired of iron sights and want to use a red dot optic.
