The Mantis Titan X possesses the ability to simulate the feel and function of real firearms. Mantis chose the extremely popular 9mm Glock 19 to model the Titan X after. As a facsimile, the Titan X closely replicates every major detail found on the Glock 19. It includes a realistic Glock-like trigger pull and is compatible with Glock holsters and accessories. This means that lights and optics that Glock pistols can also fit onto the Titan X. Ultimately, this can enhance the overall training experience too.

But the Titan X is more than just a Glock 19 look-alike. It incorporates cutting-edge features, such as a resetting trigger mechanism and a built-in red laser that activates when the trigger is pulled. This built-in laser is adjustable for windage and elevation. It can be set to a specific POI (point of impact). The laser also provides instant feedback by simulating the shot placement. As a result, users can evaluate their accuracy in real-time. In addition to being modeled after a real Glock 19, the Titan X also includes optics-ready slide cut, which allows the user to specifically mount red-dot sights with either the RMR or RMSc optics footprints as well.

Because it isn’t an actual firearm, the Titan X eliminates the risk of accidental discharges making it an ideal training tool for individuals of all experience levels. As a non-firing “non-gun,” it allows users to focus entirely on building skills without the potential dangers of live ammunition. Augmenting the Training Experience

The Mantis Titan X distinguishes itself from other laser training pistols via its integral MantisX training system. The MantisX employs highly sensitive motion sensors that detect the subtle movements of the Titan X training pistol during the shooting process. This system is designed to provide trainees with real-time data on their shooting performance. The MantisX talks to a well-thought out smartphone app via Bluetooth, in order to provide detailed feedback and to diagnose whatever the trainee did well and where they need work. The app also scores shots and provides feedback. Beyond that, this app is set up to keep track of all shooting sessions. It  can generate reports to identify trends, gauge progress and set improvement goals. And can do all of these things in real time. 

The Titan X /MantisX sensor is compatible with the Mantis BlackbeardX dynamic drills. In addition, the system also integrates with another Mantis-produced app, theMantis Laser Academy app. The Mantis Laser Academy app further enhances the user’s training experience by offering precise shot placement feedback. Whether you’re simulating target practice or conducting advanced drills, the app ensures that every “shot” is tracked and analyzed.

This level of interactivity fosters a more engaging and productive training regimen, ultimately leading to measurable improvements in performance. All Mantis-related apps are available for both iOS and Android devices. 

The Titan X package includes two auto-detecting weighted magazines that mimic the weight and feel of actual pistol magazines. Having weighted magazines not only amplifies realism when handling the Titan X training pistol, but also sets users up for more realistic reload drills. Keep in mind however, that the Titan X’s slide cannot be racked. By virtue of the Titan X design, standard Glock magazines also fit into the magazine well.

Powering Up The Titan X

The Titan X uses a rechargeable battery system as a power source, similar to other MantisX devices. Charging takes place via a USB-C port that’s found on the right side of the Titan X slide. Mantis includes a separate USB-C charging cable, and the Titan X can be charged like a cell phone. Finally, it includes an LED battery level/charging status indicator that changes colors between red, green and yellow.
