XS Sights has been a leader in the pistol sight world for almost 20 years. In fact, they built the first prototype of this handguard all the way back in the 90’s. They have since put new energy into the product and have brought it to production.

Matches the Receivers Lines

While the initial model is black, a walnut version is coming right on its heels. I personally love the wood furniture look, which still provides real estate for mounting lights or other gear. The texturing is perfect, providing a good grip surface without being too aggressive.
Test Model
The one I got in for review was mounted on a Henry Big Boy chambered in .357 Magnum. They were also kind enough to include the XS Sights Lever Rail. This rail features mil standard 1913 mounting slots. The Lever Rail can be used to mount conventional scopes, low-powered variable optics (LVPO), scout scopes, or red dot sights. The lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum alloy construction and hard-anodized finish will provide you with a lifetime of service in any environment.
To take it a step further, they also mounted their ghost ring sight set. The XS Sights Ghost Ring sights feature a robust rear sight that is fully adjustable for windage and elevation. The CNC-machined steel sight body is durable enough to provide a lifetime of use in the harshest conditions. The XS white stripe front sight is a machined steel base that is blued and finished with a painted white stripe. The white-on-black design is highly visible in all lighting conditions and contrasts against any color background.
On the range, this trifecta proved to be a winning combination. The Henry rifle still retains its classic look while offering some modern advantages. Shots rolled faster, and accuracy was improved when compared to stock sights.
