The Safariland SX HP comprises the thinnest, lightest, and most protective hybrid ballistic armor ever developed, according to Safariland. Engineered with groundbreaking technologies and cutting-edge materials from Avient, Honeywell, and Dupont to provide a 20% weight reduction and a 20% increase in ballistic performance.

Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount HP-X Pro

This new long gun light brings 800 lumens and 105,000 candela for a far-reaching beam of 648 meters. The new light also features a Jack-Cap tail cap switch, offering both push-button or remote pressure switch operation. Battery versatility enables users to choose between two different power source types.

The lightweight, low-profile ProTac Rail Mount HP-X Pro features a rugged, integrated rail clamp designed to rapidly and securely attach to rifles, carbines and sub-machine guns with a MIL-STD 1913 (Picatinny) rail or, by using an optional included M-LOK^® mount, to M-LOK or M-LOK compatible rail systems. Power comes from either two 3-volt CR123A lithium batters or one Streamlight SL-B26 protected lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack. This multi-fuel option allows for use of primary disposable batteries if the rechargeable cell is out of power.

HEVI-Shot HEVI-Hitter Waterfowl Loads

HEVI-Shot introduces an all-new shotshell product line, HEVI-Hitter. These new waterfowl loads deliver a balance of the sheer power of tungsten with the patterning and practicality of steel to deliver better lethality on ducks and geese. HEVI-Hitter will be initially available in eleven 12-, 16-, 20- and 28-gauge options. HEVI-Hitter devotes 20-percent of its payload to 12 g/cc tungsten and layers it over 80-percent steel shot, according to HEVI-Shot. The same layered shot of equal size delivers a tungsten layer hitting 54-percent harder in kinetic energy and momentum.

Savage AXIS 2 Pro Additions

SHOT Show encompasses 13.9 Miles of Aisles

Every year, members of the firearm industry travel to Las Vegas to attend the SHOT Show. SHOT has become the biggest show in the industry, with 60,000 attendees each year. The show gives customers and manufacturers the opportunity to meet up for business. It has also become an opportunity to release new products. If you are a firearms enthusiast, I am sure your social media feeds have recently exploded with “coming soon” products. As a long-time attendee of the show, I have scored a few early looks at what will be new at the show this year. I have tried to focus on items that may not always get front-page coverage.
