Both the DD5V1 and DD5V2 were previously only available with KeyMod handguard mounts. Adding M-LOK technology to both models gives the end user the ability to choose an attachment system that best suits his or her needs. Both rifles sport a free-floating, 15-inch MFR XS rail that offers weight savings, superior cooling, ergonomics and modularity while maintaining strength and durability, the press release says.
The DD5 7.62 line incorporates features like a 4-bolt connection system, optimized upper receiver, improved bolt carrier group, ambidextrous controls, configurable modular charging handle and a cold hammer forged barrel that measures 16 inches on the DD5V1 and 18 inches on the DD5V2.

Both rifles weigh in at just over eight pounds and should get the job done if you’re looking for a light, maneuverable .308 DMR (designated marksman rifle), Daniel Defense says.
The DD5V1 and DD5V2 M-LOK are available at a suggested retail price of $3,044.
