The International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST) was held July 15–18, 2025 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. As the world’s largest sportfishing trade show, it brought together nearly 14,000 industry professionals from 75 countries to discover game-changing rods, reels, lures, electronics, apparel and accessories. YakAttack TowNStow BarCart Kayak
This TowNStow BarCart is not only cool, but extremely convenient. This is not the first design that mounts on a kayak, but this design is unique and full of improvements from other designs. This cart mounts right on the rear tracks of any kayak and folds up for storage and swings down under the kayak easily to roll down to the bait launch. This design creates less stress on the kayak’s hull and sides with the axle under it to support weight. Easily deployable and with a 300-lbs capacity, this can do it all.

Works with both tire options, pavement tires and Sand tires. No need to drill if the kayak has existing tracks. My favorite feature is that it swings up on the back of the kayak for storage instead of having to take it apart and find a spot to store it. This is a must have for all kayak owners!
Fluxjet Kayak
Fluxjet kayak introduces the first electric jet powered kayak. The product of Adam Majewski in Texas. This company started only 2 weeks ago but they are not new to the propulsion market with their existing jet powered board.

Travel at speeds averaging 3.5-7mph on this 11-foot kayak that weighs 88 pounds.. Foot steering makes this easy to operate. This is one of those innovations in the kayak world that can ruffle feathers and stir up the waters, but overall, I would love to take this for a ride!
Strike King Baits Tumbleweed
This odd looking bait has taken the fishing world by storm! One of the top bait designs from Japan now is the craze around the world. The threaded skirt airstrap technology produces air bubbles under water and helps attract fish.

This Tumbleweed bait can be used on a bed rig, wacky rig, Carolina rig or the most popular use is on a drop shot rig. Personally, I can see this being great for bed fishing during spawning and the floating version with a wacky rig over vegetation.
Strike King Baits Clickin’ Chicken
The Strike King Baits’ Clickin’ Chicken brings back the metal tunable tail from its original design in 1918. With the metal tail, you can tune the bait to move slower or faster on the surface by slightly bending the tail.

This new sign also features the new MagTap technology. This puts a magnet in the tail and a metal connection on the body so it clicks as it rotates. This is a new take on a lure style that has been out for over 100 years. The adjustability and unique magnetic “clicker” may separate this from any other version of this Topwater staple.
HUK Watershed Collection
The new collection from HUK is impressive. You can tell that a lot of research and design went into this material. These garments are hydrophilic, meaning they absorb sweat and move sweat away from skin to create a true cooling effect.

Quantum Cabo Reel
The Cabo Reel is the new 3rd gen reel from Quantum fishing. This reel is rated Ipx8 waterproof, meaning it was tested to sit under 4’ of water for 30 minutes with zero leaking. You can expect to fight even the toughest saltwater fish with 25-pound drag on the 2500 size reel and up to 45-pound drag on the 8000 size reel.

This reel features a fully machined drive train for higher quality and durability. The gear ratio is 6.2:1 on the 2500 size for a nice smooth retrieval rate.
Turtlebox Ranger
Turtlebox is not new to the game with their other products of waterproof, floating and great sounding speakers. At ICAST they released their newest variation. The Ranger speaker is their smallest one yet. Don’t let the size fool you, this is packed with features.
This speaker has big sounds and big options. You can use this in Party Mode, which means you can pair other Ranger speakers together for bigger sounds. Waterproof ports and durable crush proof, dust proof and adventure proof exterior will help you play your theme music while on any excursion.
My favorite feature is the magnetic sides that are perfect for placing on a golf cart to get you in your groove when playing 18 holes! Check this little speaker out for your next trip and see why it won an award at ICAST!
Line Cutterz Pliers
Finally, a pair of fishing pliers with a line cutter that is not only easy to access but extremely effective. Line Cutterz is known for their revolutionary line cutting tools, but what is new is to have their technology attached to a pair of pliers. I got to use these at ICAST and it was very convenient to have the line cutter accessible even while the pliers were in their sheath.
Lew’s Speed Spool Rx
Lew’s has done it again! This new bait caster release is going to be a must have for any level angler. The ParaMag RX magnetic braking system ensures smoother casts and reduced backlash with perfect spool balance. Whether a seasoned pro or beginner, this reel will be tough to backlash or tangle once you dial it in.
The Speed Spool RX features an 8-Bearing System with double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings, maintaining peak efficiency throughout the life of the reel. This reel is light weight, powerful and has all the features anyone would need for a successful day on the water!
My favorite feature besides the braking system is the knot slot spool system. This allows you to tie a knot at the end of your line and slide it into the spool to lock it in when spooling line. Overall, a very nice reel!
Garmin Force Current Trolling Motor
The future of electric motor systems is here! Garmin released their new Force Current Trolling Motor system for kayaks and small boats but it is much more than just a motor. This unit has an optional wireless steering and throttle pedal system allowing you to be hands-free while controlling the speed and direction of your kayak.
You can also use the anchor lock GPS system to hold your location and even use your chartplotter to create routes for the trolling motor to follow or paths to a waypoint. This unit even features a man overboard tag that you can attach to your life vest in case you go overboard and your motor will cut off power. This is a do-all unit and the highest technology in the kayak motor market to date.
Strike King Hog Father Jr.
Designed with Matt McBee “Tator Hog.” This is a new take on the glide bait craze. One of the unique features of the Hog Father Jr. is the rotating hook hangers which helps keep fish from throwing hooks and having hooks lock up when twisted. This bait comes with a spare tail but the one from the factory would be very difficult to lose since it is held in place with a screw instead of just being glued on like some other brands. With its unique display style retail packaging, you can store your bait in its original packaging when not in use.
Line Cutterz “VET”
Another new product from Line Cutterz made our list and this one is definitely not just fishing themed but good for anyone who travels in a car or truck. I personally ordered these already for my family members to have in their cars.
Their “Vet,” Vehicle Escape Tool, is a must have. If you ever find yourself in an emergency or if you happen to be in the right place at the right time for someone else’s emergency, this tool can save a life! This tool can cut a seatbelt like butter without any risk of cutting the person in the seat. One quick move and the seatbelt is cut and you are free from restraint. There is also a window breaker tool on top. Clip this bad boy on your visor and be easy for anything.
Seaguar Big Game Fluro Premier Fluorocarbon
The leader in line (pun intended) now released its extended range in their big game line. They now offer their Big Game Fluro Premier Fluorocarbon in 100, 130, 150, 170 and 200 pound test!

Quantum Merit Combo
A second category win for Quantum with their Merit Spinning Combo and a great addition to the market. These combos are a budget rod and reel combo packed full of high end features. The drag systems are setting a high standard in this space and the waterproof rating on these reels will help protect them from salt, sand or whatever you throw at them. The high end graphite rods pair very nicely with the high end reels to make one heck of a combo!
Martin Fly – Kicking Their Bass
