IWI MAFTEAH — Key Of Solomon

It is said the Key of Solomon could do almost anything, contain anything or anyone, and open any passageway one might need. The IWI MAFTEAH isn’t quite so magical, but it will do a number on opening doors. The MAFTEAH is a compact, semi-automatic 12-gauge firearm that provides tactical versatility, much like the Key of Solomon.

MAFTEAH Features

Featuring a 14-inch smoothbore barrel and a recoil-operated system, the MAFTEAH utilizes a recoil spring encircling the magazine tube. This design ensures a compact package while maintaining reliable cycling and handling felt recoil. The firearm’s overall length of 27.75 inches classifies it as an “Other” firearm under U.S. law.

Ergonomically, the MAFTEAH is equipped with a reinforced polymer grip and a textured forend featuring M-LOK slots for accessory attachment. A hand strap beneath the forend enhances control and safety during operation. The reversible charging handle accommodates both left- and right-handed shooters.

Sights & More

The firearm’s receiver is drilled and tapped to accept either MOS optics plates or a standard 1913 Picatinny rail, offering flexibility in sighting options. The vent rib barrel is topped with a brass bead front sight for quick target acquisition. Because of the receiver and operation of the MAFTEAH, much like modern chassis handguns, it will allow a variety of barrels, magazine lengths, and stocks to be added in the future as factory and aftermarket options become available.

With a non-detachable tube magazine, the MAFTEAH holds five 2¾-inch shells or four 3-inch shells, providing substantial firepower in a compact package. Weighing in at 5 pounds 11 ounces, it balances maneuverability with stability, making it suitable for law enforcement, home defense, and tactical applications.
