The Kimber Custom Shop equips the Micro CDP (LG) with a host of refined features like three-dot tritium night sights, an ambidextrous thumb safety, a Carry Melt treatment and Crimson Trace lasergrips so the Micro CDP (LG) is easier to aim in low-light situations after the draw. The CDP (LG) also features fine checkering on the front- and rear gripstrap for a more positive grip. A high-cut triggerguard also reduces muzzle flip. Of course, a model without the laser is also available.
The Micro 9 Stainless wears a non-reflective anodized finish on the aluminum frame and a matte stainless finish on the stainless steel slide to resist the elements and the user’s body sweat. Sporting checkered rosewood grips and a checkered mainspring housing, the Micro 9 Stainless offers users a well-textured grip to better enable fast follow-up shots. The solid aluminum, match-grade trigger is set by the factor to break at approximately 7 pounds.
The Micro RCP model from Kimber is designed with a smooth, snag-free exterior so it will not hang up on your clothing during the draw. The Micro RCP features a trench-cut sighting system, which is basically a groove milled into the top of the slide that replaces traditional front and rear iron sights. The Micro 9 Crimson Carry also comes with iron sights for a reliable backup sighting option.

The Micro is set up like a 1911, and as the name implies, the series is micro sized. If you are familiar with the 1911 platform, then the transition to a Kimber Micro will be a smooth one since the controls and ergonomics are very similar to a 1911. What made the Kimber Micros stand out from other .380 ACP pistols upon its original release in 2012 was that its pistols were constructed entirely of metal and featured a single-action trigger system. The new Micro 9 is about 10 percent larger than the .380 ACP models while maintaining the same 1911-style controls and functionality. The Micro 9 barrel and slide are constructed from stainless steel while the frame is made from aluminum, both of which offer integrity and strength with less weight.
