SurgeX Modular Technology

At the heart of the SurgeX is Rugged’s ADAPT Modular Technology, allowing users to switch between two configurations. The short setup measures 5.6 inches (6.5 inches with the Rugged Universal Mount, or R.U.M.) and weighs 11.7 ounces (14.9 ounces with R.U.M.), optimized for reduced gas blowback and compact handling. The full-length configuration extends to 8.1 inches (9 inches with R.U.M.) and weighs 16.2 ounces (19.4 ounces with R.U.M.), providing maximum sound suppression for precision shooting. 

The SurgeX is constructed from rugged materials, including 17-4 stainless steel and Cobalt 6 baffles, ensuring durability under heavy use. It’s Belt Fed Rated® with no barrel length restrictions, accommodating calibers up to .300 RUM. The suppressor features universal 1.375×24 threads, making it compatible with industry-standard “HUB” mounts and includes the R.U.M. for quick detach functionality via Rugged’s Dual Taper Locking System.

Each SurgeX package includes the suppressor, a 7.62 M2 brake (5/8×24 thread pitch), a 7.62 front cap, the R.U.M., an ADAPT module, and necessary tools. The suppressor is finished in high-temperature Cerakote for added resilience.
