Shooting 101

If you’re new to shooting, or just looking to brush up on your skills, these new shooter tips will help you get the most out of your experience.

1. Start with the basics. Learn how to safely handle a firearm and become familiar with the different parts of the gun. This will give you a foundation to build upon as you start learning how to shoot.

2. Find a comfortable grip. How you hold your gun will affect your accuracy, so it’s important to find a grip that works for you. Experiment with different techniques and ask for help from a experienced shooter if you’re unsure what to do.

3. Take your time. Don’t try to rush through the process of learning how to shoot. It takes practice and patience to become proficient with a gun, so take your time and don’t get frustrated if things don’t come immediately.

4. Get some help. There’s no shame in seeking out assistance from someone more experienced than you are. In fact, it can be incredibly helpful in getting started with shooting. Ask around at your local gun range or search online for shooting instructors in your area.
